India’s National Emblem

This piece is part of Quimey Art’s “Escudos Patrios” (National Emblems) collection and represents the National Emblem of India, the Lion Capital of Ashoka, entirely hand embroidered.
The emblem depicts the four Asiatic lions standing back to back, symbolizing strength, courage, confidence, and pride. The sculpture is crowned by the Dharma Chakra, while the base features the figures of a horse and a bull, separated by additional chakras.
This artwork was carefully recreated in embroidery using black thread on natural fabric, capturing the intricate details and powerful presence of one of India’s most important national symbols.
Every stitch was made by hand, making this a unique textile artwork that brings together craftsmanship, cultural heritage, and national identity.
100% hand embroidered.
